NEW AD: Tucson Small Business Owner Calls Out Ciscomani’s Votes to Protect Wealthy Tax Cheats
TUCSON — Advancing AZ today launched a new ad featuring Ali, a baker and small business owner in Tucson, who called out Congressman Juan Ciscomani for voting to protect wealthy tax cheats instead of looking out for his own constituents.
Since being sworn in, Congressman Ciscomani, who sits on the powerful House Appropriations Committee, has taken seven votes to rescind the IRS's funding to go after wealthy tax cheats.. Rescinding this funding would not only tip the scale towards those at the top but it would also increase the deficit. The IRS is currently targeting 125,000 wealthy earners who have not filed taxes since 2017.
The ad script reads:
This isn’t just a kitchen, It’s my office too.
I make custom decorated cookies from my home.
I do all of the baking, decorating, packaging, and all of the marketing
It’s all me. I don’t make a lot of money, but whatever I bring in helps.
Juan Ciscomani promised to look out for the little guy. Instead, he voted to protect millionaires who cheat on their taxes.
Congressman Ciscomani: That may help your big donors, but it doesn’t do a thing to help me.
