Honest Arizona: Extreme CR Vote Hurts Arizonans

TUCSON — Honest Arizona Executive Director Andrea Moreno released the following statement after Congressmen Schweikert and Ciscomani voted in favor of the GOP’s extreme Continuing Resolution that would hurt Arizonans:

Congressmen Schweikert and Ciscomani's votes today threaten the livelihoods of millions of Arizonans. The bill fails to provide necessary funding for veterans' health care, it underfunds the Social Security Administration, leading to longer wait times for seniors to access their benefits, and it cuts funding for FEMA, leaving Arizonans more vulnerable to disaster when the state's leaders are calling for more protection against extreme heat and smoke from wildfires. Schweikert and Ciscomani need to stop voting for bills that sacrifice the needs of Arizonans of all walks of life and start living up to their oath to their constituents.
