Honest Arizona Hosts Tariff Talk to Educate Arizonans on Impact of Trump’s Tariff War

PHOENIX — After Congressmen David Schweikert and Juan Ciscomani voted to ensure that President Trump could continue his tariff war with Mexico, Canada and other global trading partners,  Honest Arizona held a ‘Tariff Talk’ to inform Arizonans about the impact of tariffs on the prices that consumers face.

Presenters from Honest Arizona and Progress Arizona explained how tariffs would make it harder for Arizonans to afford groceries, car parts, clothes, electronics, prescriptions, and many other essential items. 

“Tariffs are threatening Arizonans with higher prices and causing stock market turmoil that is making it more difficult for many to retire,” said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona. “It’s time for Schwiekert and Ciscomani to work to make things more affordable for Arizonans, not burden us with higher prices.”
