NEW: I-10 Billboard Tells Ciscomani To Oppose Tax Breaks for Wealthy, Corporations

TUCSON — As Congressional Republicans weigh legislation to make their 2017 tax giveaway to billionaires and corporations permanent, Honest Arizona is placing a new billboard in the Sixth Congressional District urging Congressman Juan Ciscomani to vote ‘no.’

During his first term, Congressman Juan Ciscomani has already voted to give $6 billion in tax breaks to corporations and has voted multiple times to hamper the IRS’s ability to go after wealthy and corporate tax cheats.

The billboard, which is placed on I-10 near Casa Grande, urges Congressman Ciscomani’s constituents to call and ask him to vote against a GOP tax bill that would extend major tax breaks to the top one percent while doing next to nothing for the rest of Arizonans.

“Congressman Ciscomani said he’d look out for Arizonans, but his votes favor the wealthy while making cuts to the things Arizonans care about: health care, education, and access to Social Security and Medicare,” said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona. “This billboard gives Arizonans a chance to tell Congressman Ciscomani exactly how they feel and ask him to vote against extending tax handouts for corporations and billionaires so that the rest of us can get ahead.”
