As Inflation Dips to Lowest Level In Two Years, Honest Arizona Praises Arizona Leaders for Helping Pass Inflation Reduction Act

PHOENIX —  With the news today that inflation dropped to 3 percent, the lowest level since March 2021, Honest Arizona delivered locally-made pastries to praise members of the state’s congressional delegation who voted to pass the Inflation Reduction Act.

The Inflation Reduction Act passed Congress last August with support from every Democratic member of the state’s delegation, while every Republican member of the delegation, including Congressman David Schweikert, voted against the law. Congressman Juan Ciscomani, who was not in Congress last year, opposed the law.

“President Biden and our Democratic Members of Congress promised to make tackling inflation a priority, and we’re already seeing the impact of the work they’ve done,” Honest Arizona executive director Andrea Moreno said. “Unfortunately, Republicans like David Schweikert and Juan Ciscomani have stood in the way of efforts to help working families, and they are instead siding with corporations and the wealthy. Arizonans are welcoming today’s great news, and we’re counting on our elected leaders to fight for us, not just those at the top.”
